St Brigid’s Parish Sacramental Program commences each year in Term 2 and runs through Term 3.
Students who participate will make the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Holy Communion.
The Program begins with a Welcome and Information Session, following Sunday Mass at St Joseph the Worker Church and provides an overview of the requirements for each Sacrament.
For each of the three Sacraments, there will be 2 or 3 formation sessions. These will take place either Monday afternoons after school at Southern Cross Catholic College or on Thursday evenings at St Joseph the Worker Church. Parents/guardians are then given material for the preparation of their children prior to the celebration. Attendance at these sessions is mandatory.
Accompanying your child to Mass is the greatest gift you can give to your child during this time of preparation. It is also the best preparation for the reception of Holy Communion which crowns the whole program.
